About

At just over 8,300 feet, Olive Ridge Campground sits on the west side of Colorado Highway 7 between Allenspark and Meeker Park (mile-marker 14), in the Roosevelt National Forest a short drive south of Rocky Mountain National Park. The site is shaded by a mixed stand of ponderosa pine and aspen, and the interior roads are gravel and dirt conditions to keep in mind for lower-clearance vehicles and larger rigs. Olive Ridge is a beautiful campground. The vault toilets and no water or dump station available were the only downside. We had the last 4 days of our reservation canceled because Olive Ridge was closing early to take care of the problem of no water.
Robert R ★ 5 · Aug 2025
Beautiful place to camp! Plenty of room with no close Neighbors and very clean bathrooms. The camp host was very friendly and helpful.
Pamela A ★ 5 · Aug 2025
We loved our stay at Olive Ridge. The campground is well laid out, with lots of privacy and quiet. The location was perfect for accessing Rocky Mtn National Park, Brainard Recreation Area, and Allenspark. Our host Kurt gave us great recommendations for local hikes. We will definitely visit again!
